Ever wondered what the EU has done for Longford? Here are some examples of projects that received EU funding and support.

• Local and national transport infrastructure in Longford has benefited from EU co-funding.Specific projects that benefited include the N5 Strokestown/Longford road, the Longford bypass, the N4 Edgeworthstown bypass, as well as Iarnrod Eireann’s upgrade of the Longford to Dublin route.
• Internet access has also been given a boost with investment in broadband services through the Metropolitan Area Networks and group broadband schemes.
